We all may have heard, used and even seen that devices such as Iphone or Android apps are capable of managing some equipments from a distance even remotely but have you imagined what can anything such as a simple missed call (make a call and then hang up, without call being received ) can do? Well if I tell can you that it can manage an irrigation system you have to believe it.
Yaah! RealTech systems India has develop an irrigation control system that makes the use of missed call alerts to put ON/OFF the pump with the help of its Real Mobile Starter Controller attached to it. This system saves the time and effort of a farmer to reach out at a distance for manual control of his devices.
How Is It Operated
The Real Mobile Starter can be fitted with SIM Card that is set up in the pump station. The SIM Card is programmed in such a way that it reacts to missed calls from a particular numbers. It works with three missed calls –in the first missed call made by the farmer the device sends back a SMS informing about the availability of power supply. If the power is available the farmer sends another missed call that puts on the motor pump and the farmer gets back a SMS acknowledging the activity. The third missed call will switch off the motor and send back another SMS to the farmer confirming that the task has been done. The SMS’s are sent in both picture and text form
Real Mobile Starter is not only used by farmers for irrigation but it also has a wide range of application starting from shopping malls to textile mills. The price of the product ranges from Rs 4,500 to Rs 6,500 which covers three models .The operating cost of the device is all most nil but the user has to bear with SMS cost.
